Appearance: Cal stands at about 5'11" and weighs about 150 lbs. His upper body is above average with strong arms from firing his high recoil rifle but his legs are very strong akin to those of a cross country runner. He has light brown hair that, if left unstyled, covers his eyes and the tips of his ears. He usually wears it gelled upwards and to his left, so he can see but also showing off the small scar on his forehead from when, as a child, he tried to fight off a baby Ursa attacking a friend. He has dark blue eyes and, when around friends, his mouth is rarely without a smile. During assignments, he wears a black kevlar vest over top of a black, long sleeve shirt with padded elbows. On his lower body he wears black jeans with padded kneepads as well as an ammo belt around his waist, holding his specialized dust ammunition, multiple baggies filled with the different varieties of dust and his sidearm. However, during a regular day he will just wear blue jeans and a black button down shirt.
Description of Weapon: Cal's main weapon is Umbra Caligo, a bolt action sniper rifle that normally fires .308 caliber bullets but can also fire 14.5×114mm rounds, 12.7×99mm NATO rounds in a pinch as well as customized dust packed rounds and explosive rounds specially made for Umbra Caligo. When activated, Umbra's stock thins to the size of the barrel and extends a sharpened piece of metal becoming a spear. Cal also has a silenced pistol named Dolor Oculto he keeps on his belt in case of emergencies. Dolor Oculto fires small caliber rounds, enough to stun a Grimm but not much else without using its dust rounds.
Aura: Blue with flecks of purple and black.
Semblance: Pack Loyalty. Cal can summon a group of ghostly wolves (2-6) from the earth, fuelled by his own aura to defend himself or an ally for up to 5 minutes. However, the more wolves Cal summons, the more aura it drains. At the cost of more aura, Cal can give one of the summoned wolves a dust attribute from one of the pouches on his belt but this is a very large strain on his aura and he has passed out in the past trying to sustain the wolves past 5 minutes or to give more than one wolf a dust attribute. Another downside is that the more wolves summoned, the less intelligent they are and the less sophisticated commands Cal can give to them.
Personality: To most people, Cæruleum is a good student who hates bullies and always has to get the last word. To his friends, he is a smart, funny, quick witted and more than a slight bit crazy guy who always has words of wisdom or support in times of need. Cal has a sharp eye which makes him even more deadly with Umbra and Dolor. He is very slow to trust but, once you gain him as a friend, he will be happily willing to die for you. Cal doesn't like to get into physical fights, preferring to use his wit but he can hold his own in a fist fight. Cal is loyal to a fault and won't hesitate to sacrifice himself for others, even strangers.
Bio: Cæruleum was born in Vale to a loving mother and a workaholic father. His mother was a military medic who died in combat when Cæruleum was only 3, leaving him and his father alone. After Cæruleum's mother died his father threw himself even further into his work, leaving their home early in the morning and returning very late, if at all. So, like any child without parents around, he began playing in the woods. At this point, Cal was 6 turning 7 and he loved exploring the woods, sneaking around going ever deeper into the woods each day. One day, after walking deep into the woods, he stumbled upon a litter of wolf pups as well as their mother. At the time he was terrified and ran back home as fast as his feet could carry him but, the next day he returned with some leftover chicken and ham. At first he would toss the meat from a distance to them but, after a couple of weeks, he would get close enough to pet them and, a few days after that he began to pet with them and stay for most of his days there. For a lonely child, these wolves were the friends and family he craved so deeply.... at least until that fateful morning. Cæruleum had woke up knowing that there would only a few more days until he would be enrolled in Signal academy so he brought extra food for the wolf family. But, when he got there, the area was covered in blood, there were a pair of Ursa tracks as well as adult wolf tracks leading far away from him. The worst part however, was that the small wolf pups he had grown to love lay dead, all but one of them. The last survivor was badly bleeding and was trying to fight a baby ursa. In a fit of rage Cæruleum picked up a large, straight stick off the ground and began attacking the baby Ursa. This seemed to stun the Ursa for a few moments but, after that, the Ursa batted the stick out of his hand and clawed him across the forehead, knocking him to the ground. As he slowly descended into unconsciousness, he thought he heard gunshots and a voice shouting. When he awoke he saw a hunter standing over him. The hunter explained that he had been tracking the Ursa for a few days and, as Cal sat up, he saw the last member of his new family laying on the ground, bled out with the rest of the pups. This event both shaped and scarred Cæruleum but ever since that day, if Cal needed help, he could always call on his old friends.
Strengths: Sharp eyes, smart, quick witted, agile, very stealthy, semi-strong, funny and accurate with his guns(Umbra up to 750-800 metres and Dolor up to 20 -metres), always has good advice for friends, he always tries to take the burden off of others
Weaknesses: Far too self sacrificing, always has to get the last word, very quick to judge people, if he sees a friend in danger he will jump in to defend them without thinking, very prone to groups of Grimm, also weak against strong Grimm in close quarters, has claustrophobia, hates heights
